This Week at Meade Public Library

October 25:  Don’t miss Girl Power this Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Library Community Room.  Girl Power is  for girls from Grade 3 through Grade 6 and is led by LaTonya Hampshire.  The purpose of the group is to focus on self-esteem, setting goals, success in school,  friendship and empowerment.

The theme for this week is  Mask-a-rade.  Party with a purpose–bring a girl friend and make a mask to auction for charity.

Holiday Harvest of Books continues.  This program allows our patrons to purchase books for the library.  These books can be donated in memory or honor of a loved one.  The books are on display in the main room of the library and include a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction for all ages.  Many books have already been purchased and donated to the library, but there is still a large selection to choose from.  The Holiday Harvest will be taking place through mid-November.
