Summer Reading – Week 5

Wow!  Only two more weeks until the end of summer reading.  The time has really gone fast and has been lots of fun.

Coming up this week is Family Story Time on Monday morning, July 2, at 10:00 a.m.  LaTonya's theme is “Night Shivers” and will feature creepy, crawly and gross stories and scavenger hunt.  Don't miss it!

We will be closed on Wednesday, July 4, for Independence Day.  We hope your family will enjoy some of the events going on in town that day.  Some of the events are:
Kansas Representative Mario Goico (Retired Air Force Colonel, Engineer at Boeing) will be the guest speaker at the Meade County Courthouse at 10:00 a.m.
The American Legion Post 92 and the Meade Fire Department is sponsoring a picnic at the park beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Fireworks at the High School when it gets dark.
Please look at The Mercantile, The Prairie Sun or The Meade County News to find other events in the county.

To end the week, we will have “Music and Ice Cream at the Park” at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 7.  Come and enjoy a relaxing evening with some of our local talent.
