Summer Reading – Week 2

This will be a busy week at Meade Public Library, and you won’t want to miss a thing.

We start out the week with Family Story Time on Monday, June 11, at 10 a.m.  The theme for the days is “Night Night:  Sleepytime Reads.”  It will be a pajama day, so wear your PJ’s to the library.

Science Days are always popular during Summer Reading, and we have two of them this week.  The first one is “Who Glows There:  Nature’s Night Lights.”  This program is presented by Southwestern College of Winfield, Kansas.  It will be exciting to see what the college students have to share and show to us!  The program will be Wednesday, June 13, at 10 a.m.

On Thursday, June 14, at 10 a.m., Derick Brok of Edmond, Oklahoma, will present “Dream Big with the Mad Scientist.”  This will be a chemistry program full of surprises.

Don’t forget the many other things we have going on at the library:  crafting in the “Bat Cave,” Read-a-Movie, prizes,  and best of all–Reading!!!
