Summer Reading – The Americas Week

The Americas were the special theme of the week.  We started out the week with Rhonda Donahue leading Family Story Time.  What great fun the kids had hearing the story and then making Play-Doh creations!

On Wednesday, Christine McPheter came from the Meade County Extension Office for “Mexico Munchies and More.”  We had fruit salsa on cinnamon chips for a snack, played games outside ending with a piñata.

For Lunch & Learn on Thursday, we watched a video on honey bees and honey production and then had a honey tasting party, sampling 11 different varieties of honey from around the world.

Kasey H., Corky Newland, Mary Ryckman, Sarah May, Marshela Adolfson and Caleb May each show their favorite honey.
