Summer Reading – Africa Week

It has been a very busy week at Meade Public Library.  We started the week out with Family Story Time led by Marshan Padgett who told a picture story from Africa.  On Wednesday, Tam Raynor gave a presentation called “Tanzania, A Great Place to Live.”  Tam and her husband, Chris, were missionaries in Tanzania for six years.  On Thursday, we had our first Lunch & Learn with a short video on The Taj Mahal and sampled Mulligatawny Soup, a curry soup from India.

The kids listen carefully for their instructions during Family Story Time.

Tam Raynor shows some of her items from Tanzania.
