Summer Reading – July 5 – 9

There’s not much more time left of the Summer Reading Program.  We hope everyone has been enjoying the special programs and events we’ve been having.  We know a lot of reading has been going on.  Here’s what’s going on this coming week at Meade Public Library.

July 5 at 10 a.m.:  It’s Teen Tuesday.
This week is the “Scrambles.”   Teens from Grades 6-12 are invited to join in the activities and see what’s going on at Mr. Lemoncello’s Library Olympics.  The teens have been having a great time!

July 7 at 10:30 a.m.:  Family Time Thursday
“Lights, Camera, Read!”  This is an event sponsored by the Southwest Kansas Library System.  It’s a READ Poster Photo Shoot.  Come and talk about your favorite books and characters.  Have your picture taken in front of our special READ poster green screen, and we’ll place you in your own personalized READ poster!  (Don’t wear green on this day!”)  This looks like it will be a lot of fun.

July 7 at 1 p.m.:  Adult Reading Program
Adult Coloring!  We will provide the coloring pages and markers for some stress-free fun.  Anyone over age 18 is welcome to join us.

Make sure to come in and do a craft or two in the craft room.  There’s something for all ages.  We’ve also got our trivia questions.  Answer the trivia for your age category, and get a special treat.

The last day to return books for credit is July 14 (at 5 p.m.).  Our Prize Drawings will by on July 15 in the evening, so mark your calendars.
