This Week at the Library

Story Time is back after our Christmas and New Year’s break.  All pre-schoolers are welcome to join us on Tuesday, January 6, at 10:00 a.m. when Sarah reads stories about “Snowtime Fun.”  She has some great activities and crafts planned for the little ones too.

Thursday Snack Break is also back.  School-age kids can join us at the library from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on January 8 for cookies and drinks

Holiday Closings

The Library will be closed during the holidays on:

December 24 and 25 for Christmas
December 31 and January 1 for New Years

There will be no Story Time on December 30.

We will be open during regular hours on the Friday and Saturday following these dates.

Story Time will be Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at 10 a.m.  The theme for the day is “A Magical Christmas.”  Sarah has some great stories and fun activities and crafts planned, so we hope to see you then.

Thursday, December 11, 2014, is Snack Break from 3:30 to 4:00.  We hope you’ll come to enjoy a snack and to see what’s new at the library.

This Week at the Library

Join us on Tuesday morning (December 2) at 10:00 a.m. for Story Time.  The theme for the day is “Healthy Me, Healthy You.”  Sarah has some great stories, activities and crafts planned, so we hope you’ll join us.

Milk Break will be on Thursday (December 4) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars for the following closings during the holiday season:  December 24 & 25 for Christmas, and December 31 & January 1 for New Year’s Day.

Silent Auction

jingle-bellsThe Christmas Silent Auction will be this coming Tuesday evening, November 25.  Click on the “Silent Auction” link above to find out more about the evening and all of the items that have been placed in the auction.

Also coming up on Tuesday morning is Story Time at 10:00 a.m.  The theme for the day is “Thankful for Thanksgiving.”

 

Library Closing

We will close on Tuesday, November 11, in honor of Veteran’s Day.  There will be no Story Time on this day.  We will close during the noon hour (12 noon-1:00 p.m.)  on Wednesday, November 12, for a staff meeting.

Come in for Milk Break on Thursday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:00.

Tuesday, October 28: Story Time at 10:00 a.m. — The theme for this week is “Boo!”

HALLOWEEN BASH!  Thursday, October 30: 3:30 to 5:00 — All sorts of games and activities for kids of all ages.  Come join in the fun!  (There will be no Milk Break on this day.)

We are conducting our Used Book Sale.  You can’t beat our prices:  25¢ per book, or 5 for $1.00.  There’s lots to choose from, and we are adding to it each week.  Sometimes we even have a box full of free books to choose from.

Holiday Harvest of Books continues through mid-November.

Black Hills Energy Donates to MPL

Robert Tacha, Black Hills Energy, presents a check to Caleb May, Director of Meade Public Library

The Meade Public Library was the recipient of a recent donation of $200 from Black Hills Energy.  The funds will go toward helping purchase supplies to be used in the library’s early literacy program.  We appreciate the support we get from Black Hills Energy, as well as the rest of our community.

Holiday Harvest

The Holiday Harvet is happening now at the Meade Public Library.   The Holiday Harvest is an opportunity for people to purchase books for the library and help us stretch our budget just a little further.  This is also a great opportunity for people to donate a book in honor or memory of a loved one.  There are books for all ages, interests and budgets to choose from.  The Holiday Harvest will be happening through mid-November.
