Help us design a new logo to identify the Library.  We are looking for something a little different, something beyond the colorful stack of books or picture of the building — something that when seen, everyone will know it’s the Meade Public Library!  This will be used on business cards, letterhead, advertising, mailings, etc.  Click on the Logo Contest button above for rules and prize information for the contest.

On Display this Month:
Famous Kansans – in the Emily Pinnick Room – Meade Junior High 7th Graders have put together a display featuring famous Kansans.  Don’t miss a chance to learn about some of the people who have called Kansas home.
A Visit to TV Land – in the Display Case – We have a collection of old and new memorabilia from the land of TV.

Welcome to our new Cataloger & Interlibrary Loan Clerk, Dee Overbay.  Dee has been a long-time patron of the library, and we’re excited to now have her on staff.  She started in early December and is filling the position left by Marshela Adolfson who has retired.

January 16 – Story Time – 10:00 a.m. – Gerri will have stories and activities about “Snow.”  Join us for a shivering good time!

January 20 – Movie Night – 6:30 p.m. – Join us for a movie about a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program.  Bring your favorite drink, we will provide the popcorn.  For adults, age 18 and over.  (Our movie license prohibits us from using the title of the movie.)
