Coming Events

We have a variety of events coming up at the Meade Public Library.  Take a look at what’s going on, and mark your calendar.  We’d love to see you.

This coming Thursday (August 21) will be our first Thursday Milk Break.  Jacque Tacha is our new Children’s Services Director, and she’d like to invite all of the kids to the library after school (from 3:30 to 4:00) for milk and cookies.  This will be a chance for the kids to see what’s new at the library.

The theme for our TALK series this year is “Native American Mysteries.”  The books are all processed and ready for participants to pick up, and the first discussion will take place on September 13.  TALK is a book discussion program sponsored by the Meade Friends of the Library and the Kansas Humanities Council.  Click on the “TALK” link above to find out more about the program and the books  we will be reading this year.

Jerry Barlow, Celtic Fingerstyle Guitarist, will visit Meade again on September 6.  This will be his third concert to Meade.  Visit his website to find out more about him and his music:    More details will come later.
