We’ve had an exciting week filled with fun activities here at the library. On Wednesday, Debbie Thomas presented a program on Australia. She had lots of items to show us and lots of stories to tell about the country where her husband grew up.
On Friday evening, we had a movie night for the kids where they saw the movie “Ozzie.” In another room, adults were treated to a World Cuisine Sampler where everyone brought a different foreign dish. No one went away hungry with all of the good food! Thanks to everyone who participated.
Alan Feldman was the first adult to finish the Summer Reading Program, and Cheryle Shelton finished a day later. The adults must read seven books total, and each book focuses on a different continent. Congratulations Alan and Cheryle!!!
This week will be lots of fun as we celebrate “Africa Week.” Family Story Time is on Monday, Tam Raynor will give a program on living in Tanzania on Wednesday, and we will have our first Lunch & Learn on Thursday. Click on the Summer Reading link to find out times and details of the programs. We hope to see you at the library this week.
