2017 Summer Reading – June 4-10

Here’s what’s going on at the library this week:

(Teens)  June 6 (10 am-11:30 am) – Introduction to “Building a Better Community.”  See what we have planned for Teen Tuesday this summer.

(Adults)  June 7 (Wednesday,12 noon) – The Honey Party (This is a change in time from what is previously advertised.)
Olis Lauppe from Fowler will bring his bee hive and share with us about his honey producing operation.  We will serve pizza for lunch at this program.  (Starting at 10 a.m., we will have our Honey Party.  We have about 15 different varieties of honey for you to sample and then vote on your favorite.  You’ll be amazed at the difference in flavors in the different honeys.  These are not flavored honeys–they are the flavor of the plant they come from.  This is come-and-go and will end at 3 p.m.)  The pizza is free, but we respectfully ask that you call by closing time Tuesday, June 6, to reserve a place.  We want to make sure we have enough food for everyone.  This is an adult event. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

(All Ages) June 8 (Thursday, 10 a.m.) – Craft Day at the Library
We will make a 3D Letter Sculpture (using the first letter of your name).  You will need to sign up by June 1 to participate.  We want to make sure we have letters for everyone.
