September 7: The first TALK book discussion will be at 2:00 p.m. at the library. The book to be discussed is The Mill on the Floss by George Eliot. September 21: Grady Birdsong, a 1963 graduate of Meade High School, will be speaking at the Meade Historical Society Museum at 2:00 p.m. Grady will speak about the writing of his book A Fortunate Passage: Two Families’ Journey into the Heartland. He will emphasize the family research part of his book. This event will be held during Dalton Days and is sponsored by Meade Public Library, Meade Historical Society and the Cimarron City Library. September 27: Girl Power Book Club will be from 400 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the library. Girl Power is a group for girls in the third grade through sixth grade and celebrates the joy of being a girl.
